Navarc is an Istanbul-based marine engineering company designing and manufacturing solar-electric catamarans and passenger ferries. Its R&D center works on hydrofoil systems, CFD-driven hull design, and electric propulsion for the Solarvess and Volster product families.
We are looking for an Electric Propulsion & Battery Systems Engineer to design and integrate the electric drivetrain, battery, and solar charging architecture used across Navarc vessels.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Size and integrate electric motors, battery packs, and power electronics for marine platforms
- Design thermal management strategy for battery and drivetrain components
- Define solar charging architecture and energy budget for each platform
- Support system-level testing and sea trials for energy performance validation
- Work with the controls team on power request and battery telemetry logic
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, or energy systems engineering
- Experience with battery systems, power electronics, or electric drivetrains
- Understanding of thermal management for high-power electrical systems
- Comfort working across hardware and system integration tasks
It would be preferred if you have:
- Experience with marine or automotive electric propulsion systems
- Familiarity with solar energy system design
